Overview
What do the best teachers do to captivate and motivate students, to help them reach unusually high levels of accomplishment?
Participants in this highly interactive workshop will explore and use findings from a fifteen- year inquiry into the practices
and insights of highly successful teachers, those people with phenomenal success in helping their students achieve remarkable
learning results. The program will emphasize both improving one's teaching and developing ways to share insights with colleagues
back home. Enrollment is limited. The workshop will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, and end in the early afternoon
on Friday, June 20, and will take place in the scenic suburbs of New York City, approximately 12 miles west of Manhattan.
Location of Institute
The Wilshire Grand Hotel is a luxury hotel located a short drive from the Montclair State University campus in West Orange, New Jersey, 12 miles to
the west of Manhattan. A lively local restaurant and theater scene complements the New York theaters, concerts, shopping,
restaurants, and museums, which are easily accessible by train and taxi. All sessions will be held in the world class Conference
Center at the Wilshire Grand.
